Things You’ll Need

  • 1/2 Cup of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Flat Mop with Microfiber Cover
  • Dust Mop
  • Bucket
  • Water

The tips

  1. Dust mop wood floor surface to remove any dirt particles.
  2. Fill a bucket with a gallon of warm water and mix in a quarter-cup of apple cider vinegar.
  3. Take a flat mop with microfiber cover, dip into the water mixture and begin cleaning.

 

IMPORTANT: never get wood floors too wet, it can cause damage.

Pergo flooring provides a nice flooring option that requires low maintenance cleanings. To keep it looking great, the manufacturers of Pergo laminate flooring recommend damp mopping at least once a week.

  • Vacuum/broom
  • Soft Mop
  • Bucket

  1. Clean dirt from floors using a vacuum or broom. Use the vacuum carefully to avoid scratches..
  2. Fill bucket with enough water to dampen a soft mop and begin to clean the surface of the floor. Do not soak your mop or use soaps/detergents because they may leave a film, dulling the floor.

 

IMPORTANT: Pergo laminate flooring must never be waxed, polished, sanded or refinished. Difficult spots like nail polish, markers, tar and cigarette burns can be removed with acetone or nail polish remover.

  1. Always clean up any spills from floor surface as soon as they occur.
  2. Using a soft mop or cloth, clean floors with a bucket filled with warm water and a mild detergent or natural stone cleaner. Always keep the area wet while working.
  3. Squeeze the water from the soft mop and polish dry the floors by mopping the surface once more. This will remove any excess water.
