Things You’ll Need
- Broom
- Mop
- Bucket
- Water
- Dish Soap
- Scrub Sponge
- Floor Polish (optional for dull floors)
The Tips
- Regularly sweep or vacuum floors to remove loose dust and dirt. This will keep soil from wearing away at the floors surface.
- Using a mop, mop floors with clear water and just a few drops of liquid dish soap. For tough spots, use a scrub sponge. Be sure to change the water when it gets cloudy; dirty water will make floors sticky.
- When needed, add a floor polish to restore the shine. Any good floor polish will do.
- Allow the floors to air dry or dry with a clean towel.
